There's no denying that this women is one of the most successful and accomplished female golfers in history. With 72 LPGA Tour victories, 10 major championships, and career earnings of over $22 million, Sorenstam is a force to be reckoned with on the golf course. But is she the greatest female golfer of all time?

To answer this question, we need to take a look at some of the other contenders for this title. One of the most obvious is Mickey Wright, who won 82 LPGA Tour events and 13 major championships during her career. Another is Nancy Lopez, who won 48 LPGA Tour events and three major championships. And let's not forget about Babe Didrikson Zaharias, who won 10 LPGA Tour events and six major championships.

So how does Sorenstam compare to these other greats? Well, when it comes to sheer number of wins, Sorenstam falls just short of Wright and Didrikson Zaharias. However, she did win more major championships than either of them. And when it comes to earnings, Sorenstam far surpasses any other female golfer in history, thanks in part to her successful endorsement deals and her own golf course design company.

But numbers aren't everything. Sorenstam also made history in 2003 when she became the first woman in 58 years to compete on the PGA Tour. This was a major milestone for women's golf and helped to pave the way for future female golfers to compete with their male counterparts.

In the end, it's difficult to definitively say who the greatest female golfer of all time is. Each of these players has made significant contributions to the sport and have earned their place in the history books. But one thing is for certain: Annika Sorenstam is definitely in the conversation.

Annika Sorenstam's Record-Breaking Round at the 2001 Standard Register Ping

Annika Sorenstam made headlines in 2001 when she shot a record-breaking 59 at the Standard Register Ping tournament in Phoenix, Arizona. This round, which included 11 birdies and an eagle, was the lowest score ever recorded by a woman in a professional tournament.

But Sorenstam's 59 wasn't just a fluke. She had been on a roll leading up to this tournament, winning four out of her last five LPGA Tour events. And she continued her winning streak after her record-breaking round, finishing in first place at the Standard Register Ping with a score of 24-under-par.

But Sorenstam's record-breaking round wasn't without controversy. Some critics argued that the course was too easy and that Sorenstam's score didn't really reflect her true abilities. However, She brushed off these criticisms and focused on the positive aspects of her performance.

"I didn't think about the record until the last hole," She said after her round. "I was just trying to hit good shots and make good putts. I didn't even know what the course record was."

Regardless of the pessimists, her record is still considered one of the greatest achievements in women's golf history. And it's a testament to her skill and dedication as a golfer.

In 2002, Woods invited Sorenstam to participate in his charity golf tournament named the Williams World Challenge.
